There was great flying last Saturday.  Weather this coming weekend appears similar.  We're in the typical summer weather pattern with good thermals marked by cu's and rising cloud bases as the day progresses.  Chance of late afternoon showers.  Quitman is far enough inland that the Gulf sea breeze front does not usually reach Quitman, like Tallahassee, where rain is possible by midday.

Wow - another Great Saturday of Flying/Soaring!

Great soaring with 500 FPM thermals over 5k feet!   I got too thermal just below with Luke and his friend in his motor glider for a good period of time - very cool!!!

We had 9 flights!!  Andy brought 2 Discovery Flights, Joe and Doug took a couple fights in the 2-33 and the K-13 and Marc took his first flight in the K-8  (Look out - Marc Is Hooked)!  We also had a last min. walk in,  An ex-airline pilot taking a flight for his 70th birthday!  Lives in Hiharia and will be coming back - potential new member!!!
