No flying this weekend
The Pawnee motor mount has returned and Frank is installing it back on the airplane. He's checking over all systems (electrical, hoses, etc) as the reinstall proceeds. The Pawnee should be tested and ready for towing by next weekend June 6-7.
Thanks Frank.
Weather forecast for this weekend includes lots of clouds with on and off rain, so we're not missing much flying.

We Flew: May 16, 2026
FRS,
We had a Great Soaring on Saturday! One of the best I have had in GA with 500Ft per min. thermals up to 4,000 AGL! We flew until 4PM as each flight was 40min. plus!!
We had 7 flights total with 5 discovery flights. Joe and Kevin both took one flight each as each. Oliver took 2 discovery flights.
The conditions were so good, each flight ended with opening dive brakes and lots of fun trying to get on the ground with thermals pushing us up in pattern. One of our flights we were at 800’ turning on base only dropping 200 feet on downwind at 60 MPH!
Earl is the man with his 180 Horsepower Cessna – and he even brought a friend from Kitty Hawk – Thank you Earl!
I will look for updates from Rick for the upcoming weekends.
Thanks!
Doug
